In 2011, the Conseil général des Landes joined forces with the Communauté de Communes Maremne Adour Côte-Sud to set up DOMOLANDES, a hub devoted entirely to sustainable construction and companies in the building sector.
This hub welcomes young companies to a business nursery and/or hotel offering them the very best development conditions.
Sustainable construction: a key objective
The notion of sustainable construction, or eco-construction, applies to all energy- and resource-saving construction, which blends into its environment without for all that neglecting the comfort and health of the occupants. In other words, sustainable construction means taking up the challenges of sustainable development in the building sector.
Highlighted by the Grenelle Environment Forum, sustainable construction has become a must and the companies in the building sector increasingly incorporate this approach into their development. The DOMOLANDES hub was born of this observation and this desire to take a different, sustainable approach to building and renovating alongside the companies.

A real pathway to success, DOMOLANDES and its teams work tirelessly every day to:
- Facilitate the creation and development of innovative firms
- Accompany firms in the building sector in making the necessary changes in light of the economic, social and environmental challenges facing them
- Encourage sustainable construction firms to set up business
- Develop innovation with regard to future sustainable construction topics
- Create a real, local eco-construction dynamic.
